ABOUT
Recording can be such a difficult time in a musician's journey to sharing with the world what they experience through sound. I know this myself. I've experienced this myself. It can also be an incredible experience to witness your songs getting painted with the most beautiful colours and really coming to life. I've spent a lot of time in and around studios and musicians. What makes all the difference is someone who can listen. Not only to the rhythm and melodies, but to humans. People as they live and breathe in this very moment. I work with individuals who are able to speak honestly and openly about their present experience, because this is the most important thing. We need to share, we need to connect to one another, and we need to step aside for the music to speak through our souls to the world.

RECENT PROJECTS
winterbird - requiem
Lindsey Massar (winterbird) and I recorded this entire album, "requiem" live off the floor. We needed the intimacy and honesty of the songs to be felt in the soundscape. It was an incredibly difficult task, but we knew this is what the album required. We were both open to facing the difficulties that arose, and communicating what came up. The synthesizer was added afterword just to give the songs a little bit of ground to touch down upon when required. The result was a delicate soul bearing dreamscape.
Cassie Noble - Madness
Cassie Noble and I have worked together before, recording her previous EP "Find A Way," as well as touring as a duo (which was a lot of fun,) so in my mind I had an idea of what to expect. However it's sometimes good to be aware of these expectations and let go of them in order for creativity to flow! We talked through a lot of things that were coming up as a result of life and recording. We were able to connect to those emotions and allow them step into the light. This cleared the way for the music to move through us unimpeded. There were many special moments on this EP where that happened while the red button was on. The result was a stunning musical photograph of Cassie's life, in that moment.
